Truckstop Preachers   (Budweiser Main Stage 1:00-1:50)

"Call it high octane outlaw country. It's a high-energy show something along the lines of Rev. Horton Heat." Electric honky-tonk is another way to view the [Truckstop Preachers] frame of mind, and there's a bit of cheeky humor thrown in for good measure as well. Definitely a spirited mix known for its good time appeal."

-Debbie Jennings, The Herald

"You don't have to be a fan of old-time honky-tonk to enjoy this engaging outfit - they serve up tasty twang marinated in humor."
-Woody Mitchell, Charlotte Observer

"This rowdy bunch of fellas from just over the state line like their rockabilly a little revved up. They also do a good job of not taking themselves too seriously as the singer likes to run aound with props such as a deerhead or Johnny Cash mask as he tells Drive By Trucker-type tales (but his aren't nearly as long, and that's a good thing). Makes for a good time and a great fit for Derita's little brick honky tonk."

-Lynn Farris, Creative Loafing

Cam-Rahn Chandler  (Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Local Stage 1:55-2:55)

Cam-Ranh Chandler is a singer, songwriter originating from, as she likes to put it, "just about everywhere". Performing for you as the daughter of a Vietnam veteran, she proudly represents who she is as a young american woman through her love of music.

Fragile and fearless - contradictions, perhaps, but they seem to sum up the musical style of the 21 - year old firecracker. "I like to consider myself an emotional spirit, a warrior. I've been through a lot in my life and that is reflected in my music...vulnerability, pain, triumph - it's all in there."

This blonde haired blue-eyed beauty has some serious vocal chops and is determined to show the world her passion for love, life, and music.

Wiggle Wagons    (Budweiser Main Stage 2:50-3:30 )

The Wiggle Wagons were co-founded by award winning singer/songwriter Daniel Grigg and lead guitarist Bud Burke in San Jose, California. Daniel, a native of North Carolina began incorporatingsouthern born and bred experiences into tales of hardship and loss. Meanwhile, Bud was touring the world as a bass guitar player but, knew his real calling was to combine his lightning fast rock guitar chops with his new love of country twang. Seeing a common vision and musical direction, Daniel and Bud began filling out Daniel rough and rowdy tales, turning them into radio ready sing-a-longs. The two quickly added bass player Kevin Taylor, drummer Chris Slezak and Joseph Hamrick on keys to solidify the lineup. Now calling themselves "The Wiggle Wagons", the band began playing venues, big and small.  The Wiggle Wagons have play venues near and far, sharing the stage with Junior Brown, Unknown Henson, and many others

Pullman Strike    (Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Local Stage 3:45-4:35)

Pullman Strike is an amalgamation of sounds that encompass the music spectrum of the south. These six individuals grew up with a love for heartland rock and classic country music. Whether it was from their parents listening to it nonstop or out of discovery in their own time, it stuck. Throughout their formative years, these 6 individuals delved heavily into punk, hardcore and indie rock but that love for acts such as Warren Zevon, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and George Jones would always peak its dirty head out. The time came when the stars aligned and their past bands were calling it a day that these 6 individuals would finally be honest with themselves and do their past service and mix all of the things they loved growing up and assimilate them somehow with their current musical tastes. At moments it is pure Heartbreakers, while jumping into territories that would make J. Mascis lazily nod his head in approval and make Neil Young and Crazy Horse proud. At other times you feel the continuation of Uncle Tupelo yet with a glimmer of indie rock ala Chapel Hill in the mid 90s.

David Childers  (Budweiser Main Stage 4:40-5:30)

North Carolinian David Childers, who happens to be an attorney by trade, is an acclaimed Americana artist who writes tough, literary tunes informed by heartland rock, country music, folk music, small towns, and lonesome highways.

He also draws passionate inspiration and imagery from the Bible.  Critically acclaimed as a local super singer/song writer, David has received critical acclaim, and served as an inspiration for musicians near and far.

Man's Ear     (Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Local Stage 5:35-6:25)

College buddies Troy Fairbank, Matt Laney and Joseph Hamrick recall long nights in Buies Creek, passing and picking an old acoustic guitar, covering songs from Johnny Cash to the Rolling Stones.  It wasn't until summer night in 2005 that Matt and Joe realized that an alt. country tie bound them.  The following spring, after Joseph's sister's wedding, the three partied and picked songs well into the morning in a hotel room, carved out a few lead parts, and Mans' Ear was born.  Joseph returned to his primary instrument of keyboard the following spring, and In the winter of 2007, the boys plugged into a set of amps, and joined with Drew Nelson to form the newest incarnation of Mans' Ear family band--a band who's goal was now to give you Goosebumps, and melt yo face with rock n roll!  Daniel McCullough, a long time guitarist joined as bassist in 2010, and the five continue to rock parties and venues.   The Ears of Man Kind--Mans' Ear.

The Piedmont Boys   (Budweiser Main Stage 6:30-7:40)

The Piedmont Boys are based out of Greenville, SC in the foothills of The Appalachian Mtns. Country/Southern Rock is the name of their game. Straight forward, to the point, hard hitting Outlaw Music is what you will hear at their shows and on their cd's along with some crafty story telling love songs that will make you cry or smile, depending on your emotional stability. These guys have been playing rodeos across the country stretching out to the great states of Oregon,Washington, and Idaho. The last "Real Cowboys" in America love this band and you will too. If you're a son or daughter of the south and take pride in that, or just have and admiration for this genre of music, you will be an instant fan. Now lets watch history unfold....

Jeff Luckadoo and the Southern Wave
(Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Local Stage 7:40-8:30)

Born in Texas and raised in Caroline, Jeff Luckadoo is a singer / songwriter and actor from Mt. Holly, North Carolina. Jeff grew up hunting, fishing and playing baseball and singing in church.  He took a drama class in high school and found he liked it and had some talent.  Jeff also met his future wife Stephanie at East Gaston High School. They were married after he graduated from UNC-Charlotte.  His children Luke and Lauren shortly followed.  Jeff recently said, "My family is my greatest joy and my children, now almost grown, are my greatest achievement.  They're really good kids that would make any dad proud."

From acting in plays and movie roles in high school and college, Jeff eventually got into screen acting  with commercials and then movies.  He's a proud member of the Screen Actor's Guild.  Some highlights were commercials for Conseco, Lowe's and Raybestos and movie roles in "Praise Band",  "A Dance for Bethany", and "A Tale About Bootlegging".

Musically he grew up on Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Jr., Waylon, Willie, Charlie Daniels and other great southern singer/songwriters.  "That stuff just resonates in my soul," said Jeff, "Songs about real life pain and love."  I try to bring that same narrative to my songs."  As a singer / songwriter, Jeff's music can best be described as Country Americana steeped in southern experience.

Jackson Taylor and the Sinners    (Budweiser Main Stage 8:45 PM - 10:30 PM)

Combining his real life experiences with old school country elements, and throwing in the flavors of punk and southern rock to create a style all his own, Jackson Taylor continues to break the rules of traditional country music with his straightforward lyrics, "take it or leave it" approach, intense live performances, and the drive and determination of a freight train. The end result can not be pigeon holed into any style and can only be rightfully defined as what it is:  “Jackson Taylor Music”.

Recently signed to the Smith Entertainment Group (Stoney LaRue and No Justice, catalogue on Cross Canadian Ragweed and Randy Rogers Band, the Live at Billy Bob’s Texas line), Jackson Taylor is ready to take country music by storm with his latest release, aptly entitled Dark Days, which was produced and engineered in the mountains of Washington State at Cascade Studios.  The CD (produced by Jackson Taylor and Ronnie Belaire, and engineered by Allen Larsen) contains 12 tracks and features the debut single “Lonely,” a tale of emotion that Jackson knows all too well. Other tracks include “Outlaws Ain’t Wanted Here No More,” which is a true account of Jackson's experiences in the country music industry that eventually pushed him to take his own musical path. Also featured on the new album is a cover of the tune “Honky Tonk Heroes,” written by Billy Joe Shaver, one of Jackson’s favorite music outlaws.

Shaver summed up it up best when he said, “Jackson’s songs are so real and honest, you know straight off he's been there and done that. He writes and sings like he lives, great songs that I believe will live forever."
